We are your favourite Pharmacy.

Constantia Pharmacy stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of entrepreneurship and familial dedication. Founded in 1968 by Noel Wood, who bravely ventured from Johannesburg to Cape Town on his trusty steed, the pharmacy began with a modest loan of R2000 from his father. Despite its humble beginnings, Constantia Pharmacy quickly became a cornerstone of the local community, offering essential services and unwavering support to its patrons.

Noel’s journey took an unexpected turn when he found himself on a blind date with Marilyn Lawrence. Their connection blossomed into a lifelong partnership, resulting in marriage and the joyous arrival of three children: Grant, Guy, and Tessa. This serendipitous encounter not only enriched Noel’s personal life but also contributed to the vibrant tapestry of Constantia Pharmacy’s history.

Guy Wood, following in his father’s footsteps, pursued a career in pharmacy and dedicated 17 years of service to the family business, beginning in 1997. However, in 2014, he embarked on a new chapter, relocating with his family to England, eager to explore fresh opportunities and experiences.

Meanwhile, Tessa Wood’s involvement in Constantia Pharmacy began at a tender age of 14, instilling in her a deep-rooted understanding of the business’s values and principles. In 1998, she officially assumed the reins from her father, assuming the responsibility of running the pharmacy with unwavering dedication and vision.

Throughout its storied history, Constantia Pharmacy has remained steadfastly family-owned and operated, guided by a shared commitment to delivering exceptional, friendly, and professional service. Beyond dispensing medications, the pharmacy has become a cherished community hub, where patrons are not just customers but cherished members of an extended family. With each passing year, Constantia Pharmacy continues to honor its legacy while embracing the future with optimism and unwavering dedication to its founding principles.
